Similar
to the south coast of England the region has many towns varying in size
situated all along the coast line.
Moliets is a small beachside resort town which offers an abundance of
sporting activities. There are also a lot of shops selling wine at discount
prices. Moliets is lovely place to visit.
Vieux Boucau used to be a busy port which as been transformed to a busy
beachside town situated right next to a huge salt lake. With plenty of top
quality, reasonably priced seafood restaurants, this gem of a town captures
the essence of France that you will enjoy immensely.
Hossegor is a delightful town and is seen to be very similar to Biarritz
but is a much smaller and discreet version. However it still has everything
there is you need such as a casino, restaurants, scenic lake, and nearby
golf courses.
Bayonne is scenic old town and is situated next to Biarritz. This town
has excellent shopping facilities and has occasional festivals. There is
also a very good market in the centre of town overlooking the cathedral,
with nearby museums and historic monuments.
Anglet is part of Biarritz, and is in the main an upmarket town with a
large residential area. It also has a great beach.
Saint-Jean-De-Luz,
again this town used to be a port and still has a seaside resort feel to it.
The town is full of character and has themed houses and boats, which are all
brightly painted. Shopping is very good and the scenic historic buildings
give the feeling of stepping back in time.
