 Courmayeur - Courmayeur in the valley of Aosta, close to the French border. Courmayeur has retained its charm with its cobbled promenade and ancient buildings. The French resort of Chamonix is just over the border and can easily be reached with a panoramic cable car ride. The area boasts a variety of seasonal facilities and activities for you to experience. Leaving from Courmayeur itself (1,224m), a series of cable-cars and gondolas will take you to the top of the runs at Cresta Youla (2,624m) and likewise, if time allows, to Cresta d'Arp (2,755m) from where there is a stunning view of Mont Blanc.
