St. Moritz - The glamorous ski resort!
The area covered by Bergbahnen Engadin (Generalabo Oberengadin general ski pass) around St. Moritz offers more than 350 kilometres of runs with 56 ski lift stations and over 100 km of cross-country trails. Freeride areas, a half-pipe and touring options make this area ideal for snowboarders as well. There are also 37 restaurants on the slopes that invite you to take off your skis for a while. A ski bus runs between the villages every 30 minutes.

Davos/Klosters - Europe's highest town!
The 5 first-class ski areas around the mountain resort offer a total of over 310 kilometres of runs and 49 lifts. You can buy a joint ski pass for Davos and Klosters for 2 days or more. A ski bus runs between the ski areas every 15 minutes. For cross-country skiers there are 75 km of trails, and for snowboarders there is a half-pipe and several fun parks. Davos also boasts over 110 km of winter hiking trails, three toboggan runs and a natural ice skating rink.

Arosa - Great place to learn, especially with the family. Home to the Alpine Club Mickey Mouse, it's a kid's top ski destination and parents can relax with great childcare. Arosa offers 60 km of pistes and has 13 lifts.

Lenzerheide - Lenzerheide is simple and unpretentious. Along with the neighbouring village of Valbella, this winter sports resort, founded in 1882, is set in a vast park-like pass at an altitude of 1,500 m.
Lenzerheide’s two mountain slopes are ideal for smooth, all day skiing in the sunshine on no fewer than 155 km of pistes. Take the free morning shuttle from the village to the start of the pistes and head up to Piz Scalottas at an altitude of 2,323 m: the panorama over the sea of clouds covering the valley is sublime! You’ll find a similar view at the Stätzerhon, at an altitude of 2,575 m. Head to the JuneHütte (2,214 m) between Piz Scalottas and Piz Danis for a hot chocolate or schnapps break. This chalet is famous throughout the region and has been run by a Dutch family for half a century.
The pistes are well maintained and constantly “enhanced” with artificial snow made with water from the nearby lakes (no chemical additives are used here). For a pleasant afternoon’s skiing, the Rothorn (2,865 m) on the other side of the mountain, can be reached by cable car.

Gstaad - Gstaad Mountain Rides is one of the safest and largest areas for skiing in Switzerland. The Bernese Oberland's only glacier ski area is suitable for winter sports from mid-October to early May. 250 km of pistes (57.5 km with snow cannons), 61 cableways, 28 ski lifts, 10 gondola lifts, 18 chairlifts, 5 aerial cableways. Anyone who didn’t get the chance to let their hair down during the day on the slopes has ample opportunity to do so at night-time in the holiday destination of Gstaad.

Kandersteg - The picturesque mountain village in the Bernese Oberland!
Enjoy the real pleasures of winter far away from the mass tourist resorts. Kandersteg's two small ski areas, Oeschinen and Sunnbüel, are particularly suitable for gentle skiing and for families. Sections of the wide, clear runs are covered in artificial snow, making this the perfect area to learn to carve, snowboard, ski or telemark.

Wengen - Wengen is located 1,274 metres above sea level, on a wind-sheltered sun terrace at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains and 400 metres above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. This traditional holiday resort offers a ski and hiking paradise around the Männlichen-Kleine Scheiddegg and Eiger Glacier.
Since 1893 one has been able to get to Wengen on the Wengernalpbahn (Railway) from Lauterbrunnen, as there is no road to the village. More than 1,000 inhabitants live in Wengen all year round.
In winter the piste starts and ends right in the village, enabling you to ski, snowboard, toboggan, snowshoe, or just stroll right into the spectacular surrouding area. In the centre of the village you can enjoy ice skating and curling. Every year in January Wengen hosts the Lauberhorn World Cup downhill and slalom races, surely the most spectacular races of the entire world cup circuit. Enjoy a day out at the Schilthorn, where the James Bond movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was filmed.
For those who prefer a slower pace, Wengen also offers lovely winter walks, guided snow-shoeing and relaxing spas. You can enjoy a typical Swiss lunch in the fresh mountain air on one of the beautiful restaurant terraces.

The Titlis-Jochpass and Brunni areas have 14 ski lift stations (up to 3,020 m). In addition to 82 km of prepared runs at all levels of difficulty and numerous touring options, there are 36 km of groomed trails for cross-country skiers. Particular attractions are the ice cave and the world's first revolving cable car. There are also several toboggan tracks.

Andermatt - The idyllic mountain village near the Gotthard Pass!
The Gemsstock, Andermatt's local mountain, is considered to offer the most reliable skiing conditions in Switzerland. From the mountain station (2,963 m) there is a wonderful panoramic view of the Alps. The general ski pass for Urserntal covers 64 kilometres of piste, as well as 12 lifts. A ski bus runs several times a day between the ski areas of Gemsstock and Winterhorn. The area around Andermatt also boasts 40 km of groomed cross-country trails and around 20 km of winter hiking trails. A new attraction is the mega half-pipe for snowboarders.

Laax
Laax has made its name as a freestyle snowboard resort, and it does have excellent snow parks. But it also has a lot to offer the less airborne. There are racy runs off the high glacier and in the wide open central bowl, pretty meanders through the lower woods and exciting official off-piste 'Freerideroutes'.

Three ski regions with a total of 125 km of pistes and a snow park extend up to an altitude of 3000 metres . The network of cross-country ski trails (30 km classical and 15 km skating) is in part illuminated at night. Further attractions include a 7.2 km long toboggan run, snow-shoe walks, snow biking and ice fall climbing. Last but not least, the glacier restaurant constructed by leading Swiss architect Mario Botta in the Glacier 3000 ski region offers a unique panorama of the Lake Geneva region.

Leukerbad - Leukerbad is the biggest thermal centre in Switzerland, located in the Valle del Dala (Dala is the river’s name) at 1411 metres above sea level. The thermal centre was already known in Ancient Roman time for its warm fonts with about 39 million litres of warm thermal waters running through indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Château-d'Oex - The "Gstaad Super Ski Region" offers 250 km of ski slopes and opportunities for snowboarding, ice skating, curling and cross-country skiing. In summer, hiking, fishing, tennis (indoor/outdoor), golf, swimming pools (indoor/outdoor), bowling, hot air ballooning, circuits by plane from the airport of Saanen, rafting and horseback riding are available. Other attractions are the Menuhin Festival, Gstaad Polo, Gruyère and its castle, museums and several traditional villages.
The Alpine capital of hot-air ballooning, Chateau d’Oex offers commercial flights all year round. The International Hot Air Balloon Week takes place in late January.
Chateaux d’Oex and its High Country (Pays d’Enhaut) are a paradise for families, only a few kilometres from the Glacier 3000 ski area.
